Community

One thing I have loved about being in Virginia is the community of believers! There is always something fun going on including recreation! I have had so much playing basketball, ultimate frisbee, and soccer! It is usually majority males that play, but they are very encouraging. I honestly am not any good at any sports, but they make me feel like a winner!! (they even pass the ball...most of the time). Today was great fun because we played soccer in the rain. I personally have never done this, but it added a whole new element to the game. Some treated the game as the Crocodile Mile or Slip 'N Slide rather than soccer, but needless to say we had some fun. I am cherishing these believers because soon we will all be scattered to all corners of the world. My time here is coming to an end... pray God continues to grow us in Unity as a body!! Here are some pics for friends in Virginia and an idea of the great fun we are experiencing.

Sexy?... YOU decide

This is what happens when we finally escape the compound in Virginia!! We GO CRAZY!!! We decided that the best use of our time on Friday night would be to go to dillards and try on Mu Mu's. Sexy... don't you think? All I have to say is that they are comfortable and quite roomy.

For dinner tonight we went to this restaraunt called McCallisters. It is foreign to us Texans, but after eating here several times in my Virginia stay... I am beginning to wish that we had one. We had a great night. It was wonderful for all the moms to escape from their children and their husbands!! It is great to hang out with such CAPTIVATING women!!

A Reminder of God's love

Do you have ever really small things happen to you that show you EXACTLY how much God loves you?!! It’s the things in life that no one else would think twice about, but it leaves you breathless and you realize that you have just encountered God’s LAVISH love in your life.

This happened to me this past week. As you know, I am a relational person to the core and I love people. So leaving Dallas was difficult because I left people that I have poured my life into for the past couple of years. Just when I really needed it, I got an email from one of the girls in my youth group at church and a voice message on my phone from the Ray boys from Wynnewood. It was evident that I had touched their lives and that I was someone that was meaningful in their lives. They hadn't forgotten me!! This reminded that my ministries were effective and that I had made an impact. It also reminded that I have a new ministry in South Asia and that I will meet people that I will get to impact for the kingdom of God!!

It wasn’t an accident that I got the email and the message on the same day!We serve an intentional God. The Lord wanted to remind me that He never forgets me and the He ALONE is faithful! I love how God is constantly romancing me!!
